Why Cirque School LA?
Cirque School’s classes are taught by working circus professionals and utilize the best of both professional circus training and Pilates.
What are the physical requirements of taking classes at the school? (Can I do this?)
We believe firmly that anybody with any body can (and should!) be taking classes.
What types of courses and workshops do you have?
We offer a wide variety of circus training from aerial courses in trapeze and tissue to ground courses in acrobatics, partner balancing, juggling and speciality workshops in Cyr-wheel, etc. New courses and workshops from our accomplished staff are added often. Join our facebook page for updates! Beyond developing technical circus skills we offer private and group courses in act development. In addition to traditional circus disciplines we offer both Pilates and CRX. We’ve also hosted workshops in topics as diverse as creative entrepreneurship. We additionally offer exclusive, discrete celebrity training services.
Do you offer youth/kids classes?
We'd love to offer regular kid's classes, but at this time we've been struggling with that programming due to lack of demand. At the moment we have suspended our regular youth classes. However, we are firmly committed to the development of burgeoning circus artists and have been offering classes to students ages 7-17 on request. Until we are able to build sufficient demand (for reference -to maintain a regular 4-person class, typically requires about 12 interested students), we've decided in the interim, to offer kid's classes on an as requested basis. For example, if you and two friends are interested in having a kid's class, then we'll make a 'private trio' for your three kids with one of our teachers, at a time that works best for you.
In addition, our instructors are available for privates and duets. For more mature, older (15+), or more advanced youth, we've also periodically invited them to participate in adult classes.
What should I bring on my first visit?
On your first day make sure you come a bit early to check in and give us/fill out the health and history form and the waiver.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. Please wear something you can move easily in but does not get caught or cover your face while up in the air or flipping upside down. In aerial classes you will often be hanging from the backs of your knees. Consequently, we recommend form-fitting leggings or flexible training pants that cover the back of your knees. Men should consider supportive clothing. Typically you will work barefoot, but socks are recommended for stretch class. Though no shoes are required for either aerial or ground classes you are more than welcome to wear acrobatic shoes for Acro-Fit. All jewelry and watches must be removed before class.
I need a circus performer for my event - where can I book one?
We're happy to help. Our Companion Troupe - Troupe Vertigo offers a diverse collection of talent. Please do contact us at info@cirqueschoolla.com for any of your circus/event needs.

Why Circus?
Cirque School uses circus training to inspire an appreciation for the circus arts in a supportive, noncompetitive environment. We believe circus training helps students gain strength and flexibility, as well as physical and mental wellness.
Is it dangerous?
Circus arts can be, but we maintain a strict focus on safety in all our classes.
Have you got any video of the space?
Not really - just the rough cut below...we’re working on it!
